Environmentally friendly polymers

Compostable polymers are designed to be easily disposed in municipal and industrial composting facilities. They fully degrade, leaving no signs of polymers or toxic residues in the ground and typically break down within 2 years.

A new type of polymer

Traditional compostable polymers typically use a PLA (corn ethanol based) structure that is not suited to our extrusion process. Within the last few years, new options have presented ACP with a modified PLA/acid structure, which has opened the doors to our manufacture of a replacement for traditional polymers. These new structures stand up to their counterparts, offering similar run speeds, strength, heat resistance and durability with options for direct food contact.
