ACP PPE fabrics are the solution for garment producers that are looking to achieve level 2 or level 3 certifications for surgical gowns, isolation gowns or other protective apparel.
Level 2 Medical Barrier Fabrics
Typical usage: Low risk, to be used, for example, during blood draw, suturing, in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or a pathology lab.
- ACP PPE fabric
- Meets AATCC 42 and AATCC 17 Standard
- Used for LOW risk situations
- Provides a barrier to larger amounts of fluid penetration through splatter and some fluid exposure through soaking
- Two tests are conducted to assess barrier protection performance:
- Water impacting the surface of the gown material
- Resistance to water pressure
Level 3 Medical Barrier Fabrics
Typical usage: Moderate risk, to be used, for example, during arterial blood draw, inserting an Intravenous (IV) line, in the Emergency Room, or for trauma cases
- ACP PPE fabric
- Meets AATCC 42 and AATCC 17 Standard
- Used for MODERATE risk situations
- Provides a barrier to larger amounts of fluid penetration through splatter and more fluid exposure through soaking than Level 2 materials
- Two tests are conducted to test barrier protection performance:
- Water impacting the surface of the gown material
- Pressurizing the material
